Lung believes that ceramics has the power of freezing time and capturing vital moments of objects. As a female artist who was born and raised in Hong Kong by a foreign domestic helper for over 20 years, Lung records ambiguity relationship and emotions of her identity, also the bizarre relationships between people and objects. She believes that art appears not only for aesthetic appreciation, but also as a mirror to reflect modern day society. Lung is interested in topics of foreign domestic helpers, phenomenon of space and housing, female identities and her personal experience. Between hard and soft, between real and unreal, Lung analog the texture and materiality with emotions, to create absurd and abstract scenery which reflects her inner self.
